KiwiSport Workshop – Levin/Horowhenua
30 May 2017 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
KiwiSport is a New Zealand Government funding initiative that provides support for school-aged children wanting to participate in sports. Any organisation that can achieve the objectives of KiwiSport of More Kids, More Opportunities and Better Skills are welcome to apply for funds. This includes, but is not limited to: community groups, clubs, regional/national sports organisations, schools and private providers.
For more information on KiwiSport see our KiwiSport Page here
This year we are changing the way we administer the fund and the application process. We are moving away from one on one engagement in the development of all KiwiSport applications and moving towards group workshops to reduce duplication. The new workshops scheduled quarterly will occur in each of our district areas and will outline the best practice principles when developing your application, for example we will provide examples of approved applications and declined applications as well as Sport NZ directives to increase participation among low participating groups/communities.
If your organisation plans to apply for KiwiSport funding in the next 6 months a representative from your organisation will be required to attend a workshop.
