Training for a triathlon incorporates swimming, biking and running – a powerful fitness combination that is both a recreational or competitive sport. There are numerous triathlons held throughout the year in the Manawatu region for individuals or teams, for serious athletes as well as first time triathletes.
Manawatu Triathlon Club
Triathlon is New Zealand’s fastest growing sport – and as a nation we’re pretty good at it! We have a great tri club right here in the Manawatu. The Manawatu Triathlon Club has about 200 members and holds regular races for all ages and abilities about once a month all year round.
