Sports Management Services
Sport Management Services (SMS) is a initiative by Sport Manawatu to provide core management services to Manawatu regional franchises and representative teams from a centralised source. It is aimed at providing the operational arm for a franchise to allow the board to perform effectively as governance, without any operational obligations.
The concept is primarily targeted to promote community pride, regional support and to create a more secure future for the franchises with the installment of a professional and efficient structure. SMS allows franchises to work together with a collaborative approach to sponsorship - local and national businesses then have the opportunity to support all codes maximising the leverage of their sponsorship in order to get the most value out of their investment.
Who we work with
At present, SMS manages the daily operations of the McDonalds Manawatu Jets Basketball and Central Hockey Franchise teams who all compete in the premier domestic competitions in their respective sports.
Our team
