Sarah Ashcroft, is the owner and fitness instructor at The Jungle Body Manawatū and will be speaking at an event hosted by Sport Manawatū.

Sarah will discuss a range of topics, covering over-coming injuries, her covid–crazy start to her teaching profession, the character-building that came along with this, and starting up her own business.

“There have been massive humps and dips along the way, and at times, some serious mental butt-kicking self-talk,” says Sarah.

After coming back from Australia, in 2018, Sarah went back to university and studied a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary) and started up her business, ‘The Jungle Body Manawatū’.

Sarah started the Jungle Body when she was confronted with the idea of no longer having her favourite fitness class. She was soon convinced to kick her fears, become an instructor, and bring this love to the mighty Manawatū.

The Changing Room is a Sport Manawatū initiative aimed to showcase local wāhine and their story of being a woman in the active recreation and sporting area.

The event will be held at Focal Point Cinema, Palmerston North, from 6:30-7:30pm, on Wednesday 6 July.

This event is free to attend, however you must register via the Sport Manawatū website.

Drinks and nibbles provided.
